• Sedation
• Surgical facilities for advanced techniques requiring general anaesthesia.

Dentistry should not be a traumatic experience for a horse. A thorough dental examination requires a calm horse. This may require a sedative.

Many horses tolerate dental examinations and treatments very well. However, some find the process frightening and some procedures are uncomfortable stretching the patience of the most saintly horse. We always recommend sedation where indicated to allow a thorough examination and treatment without developing fear in our patients.

Dentistry forms part of your horse’s overall health. The only veterinary carers who have the necessary training to treat the whole horse are veterinary surgeons.
