The Charter Dog Training Academy is very much centred on promoting fun, reward based training strategies to enable dogs to live more in harmony with us whilst maintaining maximum animal welfare standards.
Our trainer Zaina has seen and experienced many different training methods and because of this, and extensive research, it is believed that fun, reward based clicker training is by far the most effective and most pleasurable for both you & your canine companion. We will give you full training on the “click and treat” method, learning lifelong skills that will be fun & easy for you & your dog. You will be amazed at how fast your canine companion will learn these skills & enjoy doing so!
The academy provides six-week, dog and puppy training in small groups, at Charter Veterinary Hospital, Roundswell. Classes are on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
Separate courses are available for new puppies or adult dogs. One to one sessions are also available for adult dogs not initially able to work in a group.
The courses provides opportunity to work on a reward based approach to cover the foundations of – clicker training, sit, down, stand, wait, stay, recall, heel work, long line training, watch me and leave.
All dogs must be vaccinated and all courses must be paid for in advance.
We look forward to meeting you and your four legged friend.
