A warm welcome to the Charter equine department which operates from Mullacott Equine Hospital. We are a progressive six vet equine practice offering the very highest standards of equine care in the south west. We offer a 24 hour 365 day first opinion and referral service and can be contacted on 01271 879 516.
History
The foundations of the equine side of the practice were laid back in the 1960′s and 70′s, moving to Mullacott in 1986 and the only Equine Hospital in the southern half of the country at that time. It serves the horse owners of North Devon and Exmoor from Minehead to Tiverton, Okehampton to Bude and all areas in between. We are lucky to have certificate holders in Equine Stud Medicine and Equine Soft Tissue Surgery, Equine Orthopaedics and Anaesthesia amongst our team.
Services
First Opinion
The majority of the work done by the practice is ‘First Opinion’ (similar to seeing your own GP) but with the backup of the hospital, cases can be admitted as in-patients for further investigation as required.
Referral
We are pleased to accept referrals to our RCVS approved Equine Hospital including Colic and Lameness investigations.
