Project Description

Charter Vets is an RCVS approved training practice and have been training Veterinary Nurses for many years. We currently employ student veterinary nurses on apprenticeships working towards their Diploma in Veterinary Nursing, along with Foundation Degree students with us on work placement.

The Veterinary Nursing course consists of practical training in the work place supported by a college course. This will usually be one or two days a week at college, but there may also be some block weeks. Alternatively you could attend university and gain a Degree in Veterinary Nursing.

Our Veterinary Nurses provide skilled supportive care for sick animals as well as undertaking minor surgery, monitoring during anaesthesia, medical treatments and diagnostic tests under veterinary supervision.

Our Veterinary Nurses also play an important role in the education of owners on good standards of animal care. As with any worthwhile job, the training required takes time, hard work and commitment. Those willing to put in the effort will be rewarded with a career offering variety, interest and daily contact with animals and their owners.

We employ senior nurses as clinical coaches to educate & support our students through their qualification.
