Project Description

Only a veterinary hospital must staff their premises 24 hours a day.

Charter Vets have two veterinary hospitals so rest assured, whatever the time of day your pets needs intensive care, we are there to provide it.

Our nurses are on-site 24 hours a day to look after your pet’s needs. A member of our nursing team will always answer your call out of normal working hours. We do not use a messaging service or answer machines.

Monitoring

Patients from any of our clinics requiring overnight care are hospitalised at either  of our Hospitals. Our dual Veterinary Hospital status means that we provide 24 hour nursing care, using the latest equipment and facilities.

Our compassionate nursing team is responsible for the provision of in-patient care, and monitoring of your pet’s condition during their stay. They are knowledgeable and proficient in delivering the high standard of patient care that we provide.

Our Roundswell Hospital boasts an Intensive Care ‘Hub’. Situated in the ‘Prep’ area, this facility enables close and round the clock monitoring of
critical patients, and delivery of continuous nursing care, and oxygen therapy. Our Mullacott Hospital has a similar mobile ’Hub’ to allow regular and continuous monitoring of high dependency patients.

We are able to rapidly monitor:

  • Continuous ECG

  • Pulse oximetry

  • Changes in blood parameters

  • Heart rate

  • Respiratory rate

  • Carbon dioxide

  • Non-invasive and invasive blood pressure
