MiNightVet are our preferred emergency services partner. They are a dedicated emergency service with full-time night staff who will be alert and effective even at unsociable hours. Their qualified vets and nurses have a special interest, experience and training in all aspects of urgent critical care. Their support allows our vets to be fully refreshed for the day shift.

Anaesthesia

Your pet’s safety during operations is of utmost concern and we can offer a range of advanced anaesthetic agents and techniques.

These can be tailored to the individual patient, and are monitored by our fully trained staff.

Monitoring

Patients from any of our clinics requiring overnight care are hospitalised at our Hospital. Our Veterinary Hospital status means that we provide 24 hour nursing care, using the latest equipment and facilities.

Our compassionate nursing team is responsible for the provision of in-patient care, and monitoring of your pet’s condition during their stay. They are knowledgeable and proficient in delivering the high standard of patient care that we provide.

We are proud to have a fully equipped Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons approved veterinary hospital so you can rest assured that your pet will always receive the highest quality professional care, backed by a wide range of state-of-the-art facilities and uncompromising service levels.

Our Roundswell Hospital boasts an Intensive Care ‘Hub’. Situated in the ‘Prep’ area, this facility enables close and round the clock monitoring of
critical patients, and delivery of continuous nursing care, and oxygen therapy.

We are able to rapidly monitor:

  • Continuous ECG

  • Pulse oximetry

  • Changes in blood parameters

  • Heart rate

  • Respiratory rate

  • Carbon dioxide

  • Non-invasive and invasive blood pressure

  • Temperature

  • Electronic fluid administration rates

Pet Dentistry

We provide dentistry for pets using equipment you would recognise from your own dentists’ surgery. We are also one of the few facilities in Devon that offers dental radiography.

Our hydrotherapy unit allows your pet to benefit from buoyancy-assisted exercise in warm water - a gentle and supportive way for your dog to exercise while recuperating from injury or illness.

Deaf BSL service

SignVideo is a free service for deaf clients who use British Sign Language (BSL). You can use it to make a call to our veterinary practices and during a face to face appointment.
