Project Description

Ultrasound Imaging

No matter how thorough our vets are, some diagnoses require more than just a physical examination alone. That’s why we can use special ultrasound scanners, which enable us to carry out detailed examinations of internal organs without the need for general anaesthesia.

Routine ultrasound

Non-invasive investigations and monitoring of heart, chest and abdominal disorders. Ultrasound can often be more sensitive to the detection of abdominal masses than radiography. Studies can often be done in the conscious patient. We usually just have
to clip a small area of hair over the area under investigation.

Specialist ultrasound and doppler echocardiography

Imaging referrals are available as part of our surgical referral service or referral imaging only with reporting by Nicolette Hayward BVM&S DVR DipECVDI MRCVS RCVS & European Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging Specialist.

Need to arrange a referral?

Call us on 01271 371115 or email with your client contact details, patient details, a prioritised summary of the history, and any supportive imaging, lab work and full clinical notes file. For imaging, original sized jpeg exports are still helpful but dicoms are even better, which can be shared via Dropbox to the above email address.
